Certified Medical Assistant (Full-Time)
Duties include assisting medical providers with direct patient care, office work in adult medicine. Qualifications include H.S. diploma and formal education as a Medical Assistant. Excellent customer service skills. Compassionate and patient/service oriented. Functions as a member of a collaborative health care team to create and maintain a Patient Centered Medical Home. Strong organizational multi-tasking skills and ability to maturely handle disruptions in a fast paced setting. Qualifications: Current M.A. Certification and CPR certification. Computer skills and experience with electronic health records. Professional appearance and attention to detail. Bilingual in order to
communicate effectively with medical providers and patients. One to three years’ experience in Ob/Gyn, Adult or Pediatrics strongly preferred. From time
to time, may be assigned to multiple sites or work variation or extended hours. Transportation and current TX DL and mandated liability insurance is required.
Medical Office Specialist (Full-Time)
Job duties include administrative and patient-interaction services such as registration and eligibility, charge entry and processing of medical claims in order to support the operations of the Center. Perform other duties as required to achieve organizational goals and program objectives. Qualifications: High School diploma. Formal Medical Office Coding required. Fluent in Medical billing terminology. Formal training CPT & ICD-10 coding. One to three years filing medical claims strongly desired. Familiar with Microsoft Office, excel, Word. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent customer service including telephone etiquette. Maintains confidentiality at all times, a team player and professional attitude. Ability to multi task and attention to detail. May be assigned to work at different clinic sites.
Social Services Case Aide (Full-Time)
Responsible for establishing good rapport with referred patients, obtain pertinent information as to the nature of their situation, consult with the immediate supervisor and/or provider regarding patient progress. Responsible for providing referral services to both adult and pediatric patients. Assists with processing change of providers when requested by patients Provides extensive clerical support to the Social Work department and assist in case management to ensure continuity of care. Qualifications: H.S. diploma or equivalent, one year of college education, preferred field: Social Work or related field. CPR Certified. Must be bilingual in order to communicate with our patients and with our community partners. Ability to recognize emotions in others, and understand their perspectives, with cognitive, emotional and compassionate empathy. Valid TX Driver’s License and transportation with TX liability insurance.
Provides and performs diagnostic Ob/Gyn, abdomen, breast, soft tissue, and superficial structures sonographic examinations following the guidelines of the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). Operates convex, linear, and endovaginal transducers required for specific sonographic examinations. Incorporates measurement parameters and anatomical findings, procedures, and assesses and evaluates sonographic images and related data into a summary report that is used by physicians to render a medical diagnosis. Qualifications: A.A.S. Degree from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program is Required. Candidate must hold OB/GYN, Abdomen, Breast, and Superficial Structures certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. (ARDMS). Current CPR-BLS certification. Experience of at least 3 years in the specified fields is a must. Bilingual (English and Spanish) Requires prolonged sitting, frequent standing, bending, stooping, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
Director of Nursing (Full-Time)
Responsible for organizing and administering the department of nursing, duties include but are not limited to daily scheduling of assignments, updating job descriptions, interviewing and hiring of nursing staff, maintaining licensure records, performing yearly employee evaluations, etc. Monitoring, maintaining the nursing policies and procedures manual, PI & safety standards. Providing technical assistance as needed. Assisting in research and development as assigned.
Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Graduate of RN Program. ADN plus 3 years of experience to substitute for each year of education. Master’s (MSN) preferred. Current Texas licensure by the State Board of Nurse Examiners. Current CPR-BLS certification. Valid TX driver’s license and own transportation to travel from site to site. Three years experience as a head nurse in which administrative, supervisory, and teaching abilities have been demonstrated. Experience in a nonprofit healthcare setting. Experience as a hospital nurse strongly preferred. Bilingual (English and Spanish) strongly preferred. Excellent communication skills. Ability to prepare records and files to organize training programs.
